Whitby

Whitby is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, newly created for the 2018 provincial election. It currently has a population of 135,000, with over 95,000 of its residents, born in Ontario. Over 130,000 people in Whitby have Canadian citizenship. The Riding of Whitby is rich in arts and culture, with vibrant downtown centres, a mix of historical and contemporary architecture, and a solid and expanding commercial base. The Town of Whitby, in the heart of the Riding, is only 48 km east of Toronto and has convenient access to both Canadian and American cities.
